2023 Annual report

The year 2023 was a pivotal year for Gasunie. Construction of the first large carbon transport and storage system and of the first part of the national hydrogen transmission network, both crucial projects for the energy transition, got underway this year.

In the heart of north-western Europe, Gasunie manages, maintains and develops infrastructure for the large-scale transmission, storage and conversion of energy.

If we can implement our investment plans completely and without delay over the coming years, we will help the Netherlands cut many megatonnes of carbon emissions on the way to 2030.

The economic value of the energy we transport is enormous. Society attaches great importance to the continued availability of our services.

Our greatest contribution to a circular world lies in changing how we work with steel.

Gasunie experienced unprecedented growth in employee numbers in 2023.
