Gasunie wants to facilitate the development of CCS by developing, together with chain partners, CO2 transport and storage infrastructure. The projects we are working on are Porthos, Aramis and CO2next.
With the WarmtelinQ project Gasunie is building an underground main transmission pipeline that will bring waste heat, i.e. heat as a by-product of industrial processes, from the Port of Rotterdam to warm homes and businesses in the Province of Zuid-Holland.
The Netherlands has set a target of producing 2 billion cubic metres (2 bcm) of green gas annually by 2030. To achieve this, Gasunie and other industry associations have joined forces in the Green Gas Platform.
Gasunie wants to be transformed from a gas transport company to an energy infrastructure company by 2030. Users of the Gasunie infrastructure will then emit significantly less CO-2.
