Working on the energy transition

To help develop the hydrogen chain, Gasunie has a four-pillar strategy: Transport, Import, Storage and Offshore.

With the WarmtelinQ project Gasunie is building an underground main transmission pipeline that will bring waste heat, i.e. heat as a by-product of industrial processes, from the Port of Rotterdam to warm homes and businesses in the Province of Zuid-Holland. 

Gasunie wants to be transformed from a gas transport company to an energy infrastructure company by 2030. Users of the Gasunie infrastructure will then emit significantly less CO-2.
